This book–a guide that belongs in the private library of every health care professional–brims with matter-of-fact advice on a broad range of essential medical communication skills. The volume opens with an examination of how to organize the complex technical data encountered in clinics and the scientific literature. The third section of the volume explores teaching medicine and the problem-based record, and the final section deals with timely topics in the business of health care, including customer service, do-building in competitive markets, meetings skills, and business writing. Simple-to-read and wide ranging, this book is the ideal communication primer for everyone in the health care field.

I am a recent MD graduate and I everlastingly wondered how I may possibly improve on my writing and communicating skills. Let’s face it, we are all very excellent to have gotten through medschool but at the same time we all have room for improvements!
This book shows you how to write better and more effectively, too. Also, a fantastic section deals with presentations and how to make them more understandable to the audience.
There are fantastic chapters dealing with publications and how to write excellent and clear scientific articles. This is fantastic for all of us who strive for more publications! I everlastingly wondered how some medical articles were so unclear; I guess those guys didn’t read this book!
