Would you trust a doctor who confused plants with animals? Mr Goglia does this when he calls yeast a bacteria. They are not the same.
Secondly, would you trust a doctor who told you to take poison. Mr Goglia does this when he advocates that you drink an ounce of water for every pound of body consequence per day. I weigh 260 pounds. That means I would drink 260 ounces or 33 8-ounce glasses or over two gallons a day. Has he never heard of hyponatremia? This shape up exists because you drink so much water that you deplete the sodium in your blood. Does he allow salt, the best source of sodium for most of us, in his diet? What would you guess? If you guessed “No!” you’d be right.

Having read literally hundreds of diet and nutrition books, this is truly the very most terrible book I have ever read. Mr. Giglio contradicts himself too many times to count throughout the book. By the end of the book, I was left scratching my head and throwing up my hands–it is the most confusing program and comes down to this: eat the aptly foods (observably the fruits, veggies, LEAN meats, FAT FREE foods (which he then warns you about because they are filled with sugar), and whole grains). No kidding!!! I had to pay money to read what I already knew.
This program claims that the reason ALL other diets fail is because they take a one-size-fits-all approach, and there are 3 different types of metabolisms that should be considered. Then he goes on to say that over 70% of us fit into the FAT and PROTEIN plot (i.e. Atkins, the usual low carb, no sugar diet, which he claims doesn’t work in an earlier chapter). Most others who fit into the other two plans probably don’t have consequence problems anyway!
We won’t even talk about the different ways you have to eat for the next 12 weeks. The foods you are allowed to eat exchange each week to keep your metabolism confused, I mean burning. I can’t see many people who have lives sticking with this plot. Save your money and lose consequence the wise way: don’t eat too many processed and/or packaged foods, eat enough protein, and exercise. It works like a charm every time, we just don’t want to admit it (we want that key bullet). Go to fitday.com and log your calories and activities–you’ll have much more success doing this than following these insane diets…

This book shows you just so how to eat in order to rev up your metabolism. It gives detailed eating plans and is simple to follow. It also works!

Not only does Philip’s food program work in bringing up the rear extra body stout, it keeps you sane too. There is no more question about what will I eat today? Not only did I read the book, but I see Philip in his office for private nutrition counseling. This is the only program that has EVER worked for me. Philip is a genious! I’ve learned more from him about nutrition than any doctor or trainer.

I reckon the science behind the thoughts in this book is excellent and it makes sense, it’s certainly NOT a typical “insane” diet, especially considering the quantity of daily calories I’m supposed to down is about 35-40% more than what I would have doing Consequence Watchers or Ediets.
That is the part that I see a lot of people having difficulty with; really raising your calories instead of lowering them(that is, if according to the test in this book your metabolism is not well-organized enough). The thought is to picture your metabolism as a kiln, and you need to add fuel to the fire regularly or it sputters out and tries to conserve itself(that is by hoarding stout instead of burning it because it doesn’t know when you’re going to feed it again).
I do wish there were more recipes instead of suggestions. It tells you just so what types of food to eat, so it is simple to adjust to your own menu and likes, but I personally would like it if it was even more explicit and included recipes and menu’s. They do have a cookbook for the program on the website which I might try out. Also, I didn’t see any allotment for small amounts of stout to add, for example if you sought after a tablespoon of olive oil to your salad. It seems to be discouraged on this program but I need a bit more stout in my diet to feel satisfied.
Overall this is a excellent low-stout program that is adjustable according to your metabolic type. If I get excellent consequences from it what I may do is tweak the percentages(I’m Stout/Protein Well-organized) to 45% Protein, 30% Stout and 25% Carbs and see how that works.
