First of all, in this day and age, nobody should really NEED a book like this. If your pharmacy doesn’t provide a printout of side effects and drug interactions … you need a new pharmacy.
In rank on drugs is also widely available on the internet and from your pharmacist.
Second, the book is EXTREMELY conservative in its advice on medications and breastfeeding — basically telling women that they should bottlefeed if they must take any and every tablets — even though the large majority of drugs are,in fact, safe to use. Given that this in rank is so inaccurate, I would hestitate to trust the books recommendations in other areas.

Not to be a wet towel, but why buy this book, as I did, thought is was better info than WEBMD.COM……and that was free. Unless you need to see what each pill looks like, stab to the free web.

This is my second different copy of the Pill book and I would not take any medications without reading it first. I am disappointed though that I may possibly never find the book in hard back

I have had a copy of The Pill Book for years. Like many people, I take a number of medications, and I like to be able to read about them and be balanced that there are no interactions, and, especially, to learn how any OTC medications or foods may interact with what I take. If nothing else, it is very fascinating.
