I was excited to read this book and try and figure out the mysteries. But, when I started to read this I realized that the mysteries are about fifty years ancient and the author does not know how to build any suspense in his writing. Some of it was fascinating to learn and read about, but don’t buy. Just check it out from the library.

This book was not compulsory as a gift to a pre-med student. She was excited to receive this as it dove-tailed with a course she is now taking.

This is a fantastic book for those individuals who are looking to learn more about how a physician searches for clues when the cause of a patients illness is not readily apparent. Well written, excellent reading.

This book is incredible! I like it and urge it to my friends. The author formerly wrote for a New York magazine, and his tales cover decades. It is fascinating to see how some diseases such as Lyme’s first became known and how the tools available to the medical profession have both changed and some have remained the same. Read it, you will like it!
