The book bought was in brilliant shape up. There were no markings on the book. I got just so what I expected to get and it was shipped in a timely manner.

This textbook is just poor enough to match its contents. I tried to take handwritten notes from this book to supplement my address materials, and it was near impossible. The book is horribly organized; I would take notes on one concept, then Nolte would go off on a tangent about something mildly correlated, only to return 2 pages later to end the original concept, leaving my notes confused and (to me) worthless. The images have been of nearly no help. I even make a top to critically read the captions on each figure, but the only images that I have been able to study from have been from supplementary sources (lectures, etc.). As an anatomist, I am frustrated when many of the structures in the images remain unlabeled. I know simplifying, but when very vital in rank is gone in multiple places or can only be seen in one thwart section, it can start to get ancient/frustrating. Thus, near every time my professor uses an image from another book, I am finally able to make the “Ooooh, ah ha, now I get it!” connection and place the pieces together. I should have just bought an unassigned textbook for my neuro course.

Rich glossy pages, gorgeous pictures, comprehensive and detailed. I would prefer to have this book in hardbound versus paperback – but not sure if it is available in that format.

Nolte is the gold standard and this is a continuing improvement in run of texts. Online access is handy for quick reference, or when I do not have the actual text handy.
