The Healing Power of Herbs: The Enlightened Person’s Guide to the Wonders of Medicinal Plants
There were quite a lot of common herbs that were not represented in this book. Also, the in rank given per each herb was not very complete. I was rather dissapointed in this book.

Have read many silimar books and found this one to be the simplest to follow and most helpful.

Very well written info on about 40 herbs.
Bounty of detail, including dosage and
potential toxicity. Brilliant section that
covers at least 30 ailments, and the
herbs that are most effective. For
instance, the author covers 6 herbs that
are most effective hostile to atherosclerosis.

I have both the original and the revised version of this book. Both are brilliant, the 2nd one but have a lot more in rank, and for those of us who really like a LOT of in rank you will get it in this book. Does it cover every herb used out there? Nope. Does it have wonderfully complete in rank for what it does cover? Yuppers. It has wonderful descriptions, uses, history, references, its a book well worth purchasing and being place at the top of ones list of books to buy

I sought after some basic, beginner in rank about herbs and this book provided it. Some of it was too technical for me but that didn’t stop me from learning a lot from the book. This is a excellent resource for cold through some of the marketing hype about herbs.
