I ordered this book with fantastic anticipation and expectations; particulary after reading all the rave reviews. I was sadly disappointed beyond belief. This book did nothing for me except give me nightmares. If you answer well to pressure and scare tactics as in worse case scenarios this book is a must have for you. Otherwise, it is a slow awkward read with tales slanted toward those with the toughest struggles. Very small nutritional or alternative therapy in rank. The book is dull, outdated, and in general uninteresting. It’s a really hard read. Maybe I got a bootleg copy but this book is nothing like the reveiws I read here.

I’ve read most of the lupus books on the market, and this one is the most comprehensive of them. The author does a fantastic job exposing lupus’ various incarnations, treatments, systemic effects, and effects it has on the people who surround those afflicted with this shape up. If you or your loved ones have lupus, you will certainly become informed, and you will certainly not feel lonely.

Godo reminder that I was not lonely in what what I was going through. Also an simple read for my loved ones. Helped them to better know what I am going through. I urge the book for anyone with Lupus or an autoimmune disease.

This book is very helpful to people with lupus. I was diagnosed with lupus two years ago, with difuse symptoms, a lot of neurologic symptoms that one neurologist diagnosed as “you are very nervous, take a vacation, go to the beach”, of course it didn’t work because I had a intellectual vasculitis by lupus. Doctors shoul know about the symptoms described in this book by a patient and not only the symptoms described in medicine books. It has been very helpful to me. When I read it, I told to myself, ok, now I know more about this disease and I am more secure, I feel better. Thanks for the book.
