The Basics of FMEA
The Basics of FMEA Books
Product Description
Failure mode and effect analyses (FMEAs) can really help preclude failures, defects, and errors, because FMEAs identify unique causes of variation before they occur. This is why the automotive industry’s QS-9000 standard requires their use. But FMEAs are a valuable tool for any industry in which defect prevention is vital.
The Basics of FMEA:
Clarifies failure mode and effect analysis simply and pithily.
Discusses when to use FMEAs (e.g., during design, manufacturing, etc.).
Shows how to perform FMEAs step-by-step.
The book also discusses the QS-9000 requirement and is an ideal hands-on team resource, training supplement, and reference.

The application of this methodology is fundamental in our industries, because it’s a functional tool for the services execution plain and program, this helps you for preclude, detect fails or administer defects, FMEA helps you to see what would happend, too. And it’s a pocket tool.

This book is a total piece of junk, a total waste of money In rank provided can be easily found on the internet. Provides very simple and guidelines on performing real-life Failure Modes Effects and Analysis.

No frills, direct to the top. If you are looking for a simple to read, small, and to the top book, this is it. Priced very reasonable, it is a excellent buy.
The authors would have done well to include more examples, and also clarify the Tops Down, and Bottoms Up approaches to doing FMEA.
I suggest you look past the few errors in the book, and learn the essence of doing FMEAs. It can get you ongoing in a very small time.

This book’s title says it covers the “basics” of FMEA. Boy, is that aptly! Overwhelmingly, the material it covers is just common-sense problem-solving. (This may be right of FMEA itself.) Other advice, also just common sense, covers Group Meeting Dynamics 1 (maybe 0.5), with items like making sure everyone in a group is engaged and has a opportunity to converse in up. Duh! A huge part of the book consists of worksheets for tracking problems in various domains. I did not find these very helpful, and the differences among the approaches implied by the different forms was not discussed. There’s not that much more in the book than you may possibly glean by reading the Wikipedia entry on FMEA.

Excellent book for what it is- a quick overview of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. Go with Stamatis for a more complete treatment. A clad overview, but as I do aerospace and most examples are cars, it took some translation.
