This was a very helpful guide on a very fascinating theory. I liked the examples Dr. Terninko used help illustrate the principle behind TRIZ. I reckon Dr. Terninko is one of the best writers on the theme of Design For Six Sigma. He goes into fantastic detail on how to perform TRIZ. The book is the basis for the training materials I’ve used in my DFSS class. If you want to start using TRIZ in your product design, but don’t know what it’s about — THIS IS YOUR BOOK!

The book is really an overview of the TRIZ, it is not too academic, so it is ease to know.
Comparing with the original form of TRIZ, it shows that there are just made some adaptations to make it simpler to work with it.
But in some sections it may possibly be to some extent deeper and show the way to go.
I is excellent book that must been read with other os the same theme to give a broader view of the TRIZ.

There are several wonderful reference books on the theory and background of TRIZ. This book, but, is one of only a few that leads the reader “Step-by-Step” through the administer of really implementing this powerful method.
I applaud John Terninko in recognizing the need for such a reference for those of us struggling with using the theory that the other books have taught us.

I reckon it is a excellent initiative that there are books written on this theme, but the book in itself is poorly written and does not give the complete overview of this complex theme
