This book is ‘the’ go-to book for all things risk adjustment. Iezzoni writes very clearly and covers a wide variety of issues in an easily-understandable format. I have used this book over and over again in my graduate studies-it has really been a fantastic adjunct to reading methods articles in health services research. Highly not compulsory for anyone wanting to learn more about the topic.

This is a excellent reference. I reckon because it was orignially published in 2003 it is a small tedious. Some issues are probably well-known. Some new topics haven’t been richly developed. Despite these minor weaknesses, I feel the book is comprehensive and remains a excellent reference. For a PhD student like me, reading the book is a excellent review and a refreshment. It is also excellent a wide range of audience, from practioners, first-year graduat students as well as more experienced researchers.
