This is an brilliant addition to my library of nursing books. Everything in the book is well organized and laid out. In rank is simple to access and comprehend (provided you have medical background). Details are categorized and give the reader additional insight on diseases and conditions I have not found in my nursing books or online. Fantastic for reviewing before a test or for use in making a concept map/care plot.

I skimmed through this book, so this review is certainly not as authoritative as the others here.
That said, I am frequently giving Diseases five stars, because it has far and away the best and most right description of the science on my disease, ME/CFIDS (p. 421), outside of books and journal articles devoted to ME. I nearly dropped the book, it was so right, evidence-based and up-to-date on the science. Every other general medical reference is extremely inaccurate on ME. Thank you so much to the editors!

Awesome book! Excellent reference to expand knowledge base. Very simple to read and follow disease processes. It lists causes, complications, signs/symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and unique considerations for each disease.
