Buyers beware that this is not MAC compatible, so the CD ROM is basically uselesss to you…I have found it helpful as coaster. Otherwise, the book itself is ok. It highlights the vital points but you need CMDT with it. The cd rom really should be MAC compatible…I mean, cmon, it’s 2007!!! Get with the program, LWW.

As a second year PA student, the CD provided gives a fantastic review for our “blocks”. It does have questionable answers without explanations yes…but that is where private research will solidify probing questions. I reckon it is a fantastic tool to use since it has so many questions included in the CD. When I only have a few hours to fit in a excellent review, this is where I turn! The book is also well compartmentalized. Would buy again.

This review is a excellent start for the PANCE, but it has some small-comings and flaws. The CD-ROM that comes with it is full of errors so be careful. If you are a first-time-PANCE-taker, use this as a supplement to other reviews.

comprehensive review for clinical medicine year courses, excellent outline review for PANCE/PANRE. Fantastic opporuntity with the CD ROM to test yourself and “make” tests that specificaly target your individual area(s) of deficiencies.

After reading the first few sections of the book, I abandoned it for more right resources due to the sheer number of factual and typographical errors I had found. The CD-based quiz also contained many errors–including test questions where interpretation of an EKG was required, but an image of an X-ray was shown, or vice versa. Out of 8 image interpretation questions, I counted only one where the picture matched the question stem and choices. Also, many of the “explanation” windows for the test questions did not really address why each choice was aptly or incorrect, but just added another piece of trivia about the disorder. I feel the editing of both the book and CD need work, and the explanations for the answers should be more detailed. At most, this item may possibly be used as an outline for study, even as using other sources to check facts.
