I want to say I received the book within a week from ordering it, I don’t remember just so, but it was quicker than other books I have ordered from other sellers. It came in groundbreaking new, wrapped in plastic, by the side of with the textbook. Excellent service!

This book is a fantastic disapointment. After being used to The casebook for Herfindal and Gourley and searching for a new and similar resource – this is useless. Like one other novelist mentioned – it is like being given a calculus problem and then being told – “you find the resolution” With the very fascinating cases in this book it would be of immense value — if only it was complete. It is – in effect – half a book. Useless for practitioners and certainly useless for students.

I bought this item by the side of with the Pharmacotherapy text book. It provides a number of scenarios for each chapter. The first scenario is relatively simple, the second is pretty tough to work through. The negative part of this is that it doesn’t tell you the answers to the cases, nor the best way to go about getting to the resolution. It does show you that everything isn’t a text book case. Some of the cases are very random, just like patients are going to be. I guess it provides a real life lesson, sometimes there is no best resolution and the right judgement is in the eyes of the practitioner. Nevertheless, I still gave it an ok rating because I’m trying to learn the material and this is just a bunch of scenarios with no answers.

This product looked fantastic from the reviews. But, once received and opened, as mentioned in other reviews, there are no answers, recommendations, or even considerations given to each case. To draw an analogy, it is like having a calculus book that gives you a complex problem and says, you figure out the resolution and then provides not even a method to consider for the problem or if your calculations are even on the aptly path.
The reader is presented with, ‘Here is the problem,’ but no resolution. The book mentions that it is calculated to be used in group discussion and students should figure out if it is right as a group. If you don’t have a PharmD nearly to mentor and check your solution, you are out of luck and will gain no learning value from it as someone looking to learn pharmacotherapy using cases as the basis.
