I plotting you may possibly find just about everything from the Internet and Google, but, that’s not right.
In the Internet search, with many abbreviations that use common calligraphy, you will get lots and lots of fake matches, and you would have to sift through them, wasting time, and perhaps even choosing the incorrect one.
This book lists all the matches, and you can easily see which is the match that applies to you.

I recently buy this book with only 28,000 abbreviations, and I say only because they are many more out there. This book may possibly have been more reasonably priced when you reckon of the contents. I know that there is a code that comes with the book for a companion Web site, but as a Medical Coder I do not have the time for that when I am at work and needs the meaning of an abbreviation ASAP. This may be helpful for a student because it also has the list of DO NO USE perilous abbreviations and normal adult lab values at the back of the book. I guess the fact that I also own the Jablonski I realize that this book is simpler to read because it has each abbreviation meanings listed on a separate line. Very thoughtful presentation. If it only had as many abbreviations as Jablonoski I would have easily given this book a 5. I gave it 3 for gone of abbreviations. A better one with a similar format (abbreviations on separate lines) would be Steadman’s ISBN 9780781744034 which has according to what the book states over 75,000 abbreviations, acronyms and symbols. I just bought that one today. I needed 2, one for work and one for home as I occasionally work from home. This is the 3rd edition of Steadman’s they now have the 4th out so you may want to buy the more updated one.
