Lymph Nodes Books
Product Description
This text-atlas is a matter-of-fact, integrated, and modern approach to lymph node pathology. Proposed for both involved pathologists and pathologists in training, it provides a private view of lymph node diagnosis by one of the international leaders in the field. Illustrated with over 250 full-color photographs, this book covers the entire range of disease that may be encountered in lymph node pathology. It features extensive coverage of non-neoplastic lymphoid lesions and non-lymphoid lesions, as well as discussing all malignant lymphomas and other neoplasms that may involve lymph nodes in both adult and pediatric populations. The orientation is unique, as the text not only showcases various disease entities but also describes the progression of disease states from incipient to advanced. Finally, the author emphasizes differential diagnosis, covering all of the methods used in distinguishing different easily confused entities.

This is a fantastic book. The photos are large and very clear and the text is well written. Dr. Weiss goes through the various neoplastic and non-neoplastic lymph node disorders and gives a clear and thorough differential diagnosis, by the side of with very current use of immunohistochemical, cytogenetic, and molecular studies. Additionally there are brilliant charts for those of us who are more visually inclined. I would highly urge this book to any pathologist in training or in do.

As a board certified hematopathologist, I would highly urge adding this textbook to any involved pathologists bookshelf. Not only are the images of clad size and quality, but each section is of reasonable part to make the book a quick read. Of particular interest in some of the rare entities, is a general “how I approach this” style of writing which gives the practitioner a sense of how to approach a case they may not have much experience with.
Very excellent reference for residents who do not see much lymph node pathology in their training – a fantastic complement to the WHO heme book.
