Other chapters cover the basic optics of the instrument, together with a description of the different types of condensers, objectives and eye pieces. The final chapter is devoted to the right use of the microscope (so as to obtain the best possible image) and caring for the instrument. It contains a check list to help in diagnosing and curing troubles and dissatisfaction with the image, as well as a glossary and list of further reading.
