This book does a pretty excellent job reviewing the main concepts, plus it’s a quick read, but it lacks a few details and clinical correlations that are vital for the shelf and board exams. I urge this only as a supplement, and not your main source for studying for an exam.

This is a excellent book if you know the material and just need to review the huge pictures for the board exam. It will not do as a stand lonely text for learning neuroanatomy, especially not in medical school, but is a fantastic companion to the course.

Very excellent review book for Step 1 neuroanatomy section – since this is very high yield. Cover all you need to know to tackle this field on exam. Covers more than FA but is not as exhausting as Kaplan notes.
