It is not the book that is expected, this book is only for residents/psychiatrists/doctors. It is not a book for an average “Joe” to have it misleads the reader and can cause problems with your doctor. Again, this is a book that will cause more problems in ones therapy.

The book is helpful and simple to read. But, there’re some suggestions for the digital book.
(1) It is suggested to add the phonetic transcription of the drugs because I hope to know the pronunciation of each drugs.
(2) It is suggested to add the photos of the drugs.

The book helped me know the tablets that is prescribed for my foster children. I am able to talk to the doctor about the meds and I can look up what drug is used for what disorder. Also what the side effects are and what the behaviors to look for even as they are on the meds. Fantastic reference if you are working with people who are on tablets for mental disorders.

I’m a psychiatry resident. I carry this with me the world over. It’s concise, relatively right, basic, has all the helpful info at my fingertips, quickly. I lost one copy in the ER late at night and felt naked. I quickly bought another.
The book is honestly up to date, listing drugs like Pregabalin and Gabitril; discrediting Topirimate for bipolar treatment, but alluding to it’s efficacy in impulsivity and alcohol cravings–all current psychopharm issues.
It’s gone beta-blockers and others which I forget. Some meds are well described, other are gone–Not very consistent. It certainly doesn’t go into the drug specifics, but is an brilliant pocket reference.
