I couldn’t wait to start the CD and focus on those areas I needed (I’m reboarding this year). But, with odd answers like this one below not matching the questions. So what do I trust and what do I throw out as an occasional typo.
This book has a excellent reputation, but is the CD incorrect or also the book. The 2008 version SUCKS. I’m returning it. Back to Swanson’s for me.

This book is a fantastic PANCE review. I studied it more than several other books and it helped so much. I urge this to anyone just graduating or for recertification. It’s kaput down into systems and helps you really reckon about what the question is asking you, giving you several right answers. It helped me PASS the PANCE and that is why this book is essential to all who have to take this exam.

I did like the last chapter on PANCE basics, but the questions in the book were a nightmare. I am sorry, but the questions have more than one resolution and it was just too time consuming and awkward to study from. Excellent thought though. Not not compulsory for PANCE review, in my attitude.

Davis’s PA Exam Review is an outstanding aid in preparing for the PANCE. I found it particularly helpful in fully understanding the reason for side-effects of various drugs, and reasons for ordering specific lab tests. Rather than list diagnosis and treatment in rank in an outline format, as so many exam review books do, this book teaches the reader to reckon “forward” and “backward”. It emphasizes essential and “must know” in rank, and challenges the reader to reckon critically in a variety of exam question formats. Dr. Diamond is an experienced PANCE item novelist, and there is no better person than him to teach you how to prepare for the PANCE. This book made studying fun! I cannot say enough excellent things about this book – I owe my “PA-C” title to it! Thank you Dr. Diamond!!

I JUST TOOK THE PANRE, TOOK IN 96,03 AND 09. I DON’T LIKE TO BOG DOWN WITH A LOT OF BOOKS TO STUDY BY AND FOUND THIS BOOK AN EXCELLENT TOOL. I RECOMMEND IT BUT I ALSO RECOMMEND KNOWING SOME ANATOMY LIKE THE BONES OF THE HAND AND ALSO RECOMMEND AS A SUPPLEMENT BIOTEST FAMILY MEDICINE STUDY GUIDE AS WELL.
I PASSED ALL 3 TIMES FIRST TRY. AND THIS LAST TIME I REALLY ONLY STUDIED THE DAVIS BOOK AND THUMBED THRU THE BIOTEST FM STUDY GUIDE A COUPLE OF DAYS PRIOR TO MY TEST.
