This book reads like an encyclopedia which makes it challenging to get through. It is an brilliant resource for in rank (especially the why’s of critical care nursing do). I use it as an adjunct to the CCRN DVD review course by AACN. Even as this one is a wealth of info, Pass CCRN®! has been more helpful in getting me to retain the in rank needed pass the exam, and it is a much simpler read.

I bought this book for resource to replace a copy once borrowed and never replaced. It’s a slow read observably. It helps when one takes care of patient populace with specific problem in reviewing the essentials, the pathophys, the pertinent lab values, etc. It was cheaper then the newly published version…and probably just as informative
