This may be a excellent reference book for those who have a working knowledge of this theme, but buyer beware, that’s all it is.
In the instructions regarding my first essay assignment, the professor said to “use MLA or APA.” Having no instruction in English over the past 36 years, and no thought what this meant, I looked it up on the internet and ordered this book. In the second chapter: “The Basics of Citation,” there is no mention or explanation of basic elements that must be entered into a citation.
