Although this is a fantastic book, it really isn’t as excellent as other books in the run. I stilled loved using this book for the same reason that I loved using the other case files run: quick read, clinically relevant, excellent for shelf exam. But, this book seemed to have some weird questions at the end of each chapter. Even as some of the questions were brilliant, others were not well plotting out and tested on some very weird things that would never show up on any shelf examination. Aside from that, the clinical cases presented are very relevant to what you will see in the clinic and on exams. Excellent choice for a quick read through one week before an exam.

If you have to take a test in the clinical years of medical school you should read case files for every theme. This is a fantastic way to go from text book to cases after reading a review book and before doing do questions.

This run is fantastic and the peds is an brilliant sampling of some common ped’s cases with helpful diagrams and pictures in some cases. The style is easily adapted to wards and can be a quick read. This run is not to be used only on a clinical rotation. Rather it should be used in addition to other supplementary material.

High yield for shelf exams. THick, but quick and quick read. Borrow a copy. For step 2, use Pre-test pediatrics.
