As for the book itself, it delivers what it’s supposed to in terms of a basic grasp of medical calculations. Very matter-of-fact as its applied to the current pharmaceutical market.

Better than average for a math for nursing book. The reviews are clear and succinct with an ample number of do problems–all with answers in the back. Tried and right methods are clarified with the new methods, so readers may take their pick. The lack of typos shows some care was taken in making this book. In small, the math review is helpful for most folks just walking nearly, and the review is essential for nurses who wish to be excellent at what they do.

I reckon this edition is fantastic in the sense of how drug calculations are to be calculated, but there are math MISTAKES throughout this book. At least in mine. It’s like they pulled the #’s out of thin air. One excellent thing about the do questions & answers was they do show their work in the back so you can figure out where they went incorrect. The calculations were right, but they didn’t copy the #’s down correctly. Which is another very IMPORTANT part of drug math. There were math problems even on the cd that were not right. I sought after this book to be fantastic in every sense but It was disappointing when I went to check my work.
