Initially assigned the “Iggy” Med-surg nursing textbook for school, I bought the Brunner-Suddarth text for my own benefit. When studying for exams such as the HESI and NCLEX, Iggy lacked 50% of the topics included in this text. It’s simpler to read, contains multiple diagrams and illustrations, and is one that I plot to keep in my library throughout my nursing career. I reckon that I appreciated the expansive coverage of topics and nursing procedures – this is what you need to know for the national exam! I reread the entire text prior to taking the NCLEX and was extremely confidant heading into the exam – and passed in 75 questions. Thanks Brunner and Suddarth!!
