When studying for USMLE Step I, these cards place out vital aspects for each drug. They are clad for suggestion and major side effects, but miss out on a lot of vital, often-tested, mechanisms. USMLE is very nit-picky about mechanisms of actions, so it’s a huge “down side” to these cards. These would be excellent for a quick refresher – but not for primary reinforcement study techniques.

The excellent: These flashcards are quickly digestible, highlighting the most vital aspects of most of the major drugs and drug classes. They test only one concept per card.
The terrible: The cards do have errors. If you only study from these cards, you might judge that the morning-after pill contains RU-486, or that loop diuretics cause hypercalcemia, both of which are untrue. If BRS has published a list of errata with corrections, it was not apparent.
These make for a excellent study aid, but cannot be the only tool you use to study for a medical school pharmacology class, or for the USMLE Step 1.
