It is to some extent hard to keep a focus as the text refers to many studies. I like plain and simple language I can know and not all the “study” statistics!!

This book was a real disappointment for me. I bought it as a reference. It has a poor index; I do not ordinarily find any of the common terms I am searching in it. The book is a fine example of what happens when nurses become too educated and concentrate on theory more than actual patient care. Do not get this book if you need a reference for the nursing care and procedures for childbirth in any form.

Yes, this book refers to a number of studies. But if you like a text with a sound basis in evidence based care, this is the text for you.
