I am an esthetician and bought this book for in rank on new massage techniques for the face and scalp. UGH!! What this book shows are techniques for bone plate realignment of the skull. It is full of medical terms with no reference. Way, way, too technical.

The book is a catalog of helpful Cranial Sacral alignment techniques for the head, neck, and face province. I found the level of detail helpful in getting the feel for subtle alignments. The book is meant to supplement the basic courses on Cranial Sacral work and take the work to the next level. The book is from a European Cranial tradition and has helpful alternatives to the movements used in the US.

This Atlas of Cranial techniques goes a long way to visually orient the practitioner to specific techniques applied to the head. Each layout is a detailed description of the applied technique, even as the visual application is perfectly rendered on the opposing side. This is a must for anyone interested in expanding their approach to the patient with cranial techniques.
